Clinical Assistant Professor New

We invite applications for a full-time, nine-month, promotable non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. 

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing is responsible for educating students in direct patient care and providing classroom instruction to undergraduate and graduate nursing students in multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, lab).

The Clinical Assistant Professor in Nursing will report to the Chair of our NIU School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities will be at the graduate and undergraduate level, translating their clinical expertise and the broader evidence into clinical/internship experiences and didactic courses. There is also an expectation of service to our department, college, university and/or professional community. The Clinical Assistant Professor will teach at least 50% in the clinical/internship setting.

The School of Nursing is part of our interdisciplinary College of Health and Human Sciences and offers BS, MS, and DNP degrees in Nursing. All programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
